TravCon 2019 is at Bally’s on the Las Vegas Strip. Distances are large here on the strip, do yourself a favor and stay in the hotel where everyone’s at. Thank you to everyone past, present, and future for booking in advance through our hotel block, you help to make this event possible.
The hotel, casino and conference facilities are wheelchair accessible. Main lobby restrooms are also accessible, as is the shopping level and pool. When calling the nationwide reservations call center for many hotel chains, they do not have the ability to “block” wheelchair accessible rooms with individual hotel properties. We recommend you first book your room online (as there is no charge for online reservations), then call the hotel directly and speak to the front desk to properly reserve and block your accessible room. There are 80 wheelchair accessible rooms in the hotel, of which 40 have a roll-in shower. No steps are required to enter the hotel front entrance and registration.
Any questions or requests for accessibility issues with TravCon, please call Bally’s Hotel at 1-866-503-4782 or email TravCon staff.
Bally’s, Las Vegas has a covered parking garage that is shared with The Paris Hotel & charges $12/day to all guests (sadly, including TravCon attendees). Valet parking is also available when space allows for $20/day. Parking is free for guests with Platinum, Diamond or Seven Stars status on their Total Rewards cards. Do yourself a favour and use rideshare when possible to avoid these ridiculous fees.
Walking around in Vegas
Vegas blocks are enormous. Just getting from your room to the front lobby can take 15mins!! Make sure to pack comfortable shoes. It’s safe though, & walking the strip at night is popular.
Plan extra time for anything transportation related. Book your shuttle for 2hrs ahead of your flight leaving to allow enough time for all the inevitable delays.
The main airport in Las Vegas is McCarran International Airport (LAS). Southwest is the most dominant airline that operates out of McCarran and they offer great rates. There are several options on transportation from the airport listed below.

Las Vegas Monorail
The Las Vegas monorail runs from the MGM Grand Hotel to Sahara Ave. It operates 7 days a week from 7am-2am Mon-Thurs and until 3am Fri-Sun, with the approx. time to ride the strip of 15 mins. Monorail tickets can be purchased at vending machines located inside each station and at station hotel properties.
Several shuttle companies operate from McCarren International Airport to the Las Vegas strip and downtown Las Vegas with rates from $8-11 one way. Travel arrangements can be made outside of the baggage claim area for one-way or round trip transport. Round trip fares are slightly less than double the one-way fare. Reservations are recommended for a timely return to the airport.
The average price of a taxi from the airport to Bally’s is $30-35 depending on time of day. Follow the signs in the airport to the taxi line up outside. The taxi cab industry in Las Vegas is very tightly regulated by the Nevada Taxi Cab Authority. You can catch a cab outside the baggage claim area at the airport or at the main entrance of any hotel.
